Robert de Vipount was at the raising of the siege of Antioch; his descendants are the Cliffords, Cromwells, and Southwells.

"Argent; 6 annulets, gules. Mentioned in Dugdale's Baronage".


He is the great grandfather of Ivo de Vipount, 1163-1239 CE, who participated in the 3rd crusade 1189-1192 CE.
