Gerard Gurnay

Gerard Gurnay accompanied Robert, Duke of Normandy, to the Holy Land, together with Edith his wife, sister of Earl Warren. The heiress of this family was married to John Ap Adam. The Newtons are a collateral branch.

Some online records tell that Gerard was killed during the first Crusade, however, records show him returning to England and then embarking on another trip to the East with his wife Editha, where he died circa 1104 CE.
