Walcline de Ferrers went to the Holy Land, and was one of the commanders under Robert of Normandy. Through heiresses, the families of wentworth, Devereux, and the present Marquis of Townshend derive.

Guillaume de Ferrière, witnessed the undated charter under which Robert III Duke of Normandy donated property to Saint-Etienne de Caen. He is mentioned in a charter dated the 14th of September 1101 CE, under which Henry I King of England donated property to Bath St Peter.
